Why we grind rather than etch, restated
Acid etching a floor needs a great deal of water to neutralise and rinse, and it needs somewhere for that rinse water to go. On a rural property on a private well and a septic system, both halves of that are a problem — you do not want acidic rinse water going into the ground beside a well head, and it is not going into a septic field either. Dry diamond grinding with dust collection at the tool avoids the question entirely. It is the better method anyway; out here it is also the only responsible one.
