Floor Coatings in Stayner

Stayner and the surrounding Clearview concessions bring the largest unheated floors we work on, and the ones where cold-cure capability stops being a convenience and becomes the whole job.

The work around Stayner skews agricultural and light industrial: implement sheds, workshops, storage buildings and the kind of oversized detached garage that comes with a rural lot rather than a subdivision one.

Unheated, and large

These buildings are frequently not heated at all, or heated only when someone is working in them. That makes slab temperature the governing constraint for most of the year, and it is why almost everything we quote out here is polyaspartic. An epoxy crew working these buildings is limited to a summer window; we are not.

Scale changes the economics too. A 2,000 square foot implement shed is a different conversation from a two-car garage, and at that size the cost per square foot comes down while the total goes up — worth phasing across two seasons in some cases, and we will lay that option out rather than quoting the whole thing as one number.

What gets spilled matters more here

Farm shops see diesel, hydraulic fluid, and agricultural chemicals, and those are harder on a coating than anything in a residential garage. Chemical exposure drives resin selection directly. Tell us what is actually stored and used in the building — the honest list, including the things that get spilled rather than the things that are supposed to be there.

Dust

The most common reason people out here call about a shop floor is not appearance and not salt. It is that a bare, aging concrete floor sheds fine dust continuously, and that dust ends up in tools, in machinery, and on anything being finished or repaired. Sealing the floor stops it at source, and for a working shop that is usually the argument that decides it.

Booking work in Stayner

Tell us the size of the bay, roughly when the slab was poured, and whether the building is heated. That is usually enough for a realistic range over the phone — and enough for us to say if you are in the small group of floors where the honest answer is to fix the water before spending anything on a coating.
